How Can My Market Center Get Involved?

The key to success for Keller Williams Realty Cares lies in the enthusiastic participation of individuals and Market Centers, who join together to ensure that funds are always available to help KW family members during their times of extreme hardship.  It is important to note that participation in KW Cares is strictly voluntary, and will never be used as a reflection of a franchise's business performance.

We encourage every Market Center to utilize a task force to manage its KW Cares program. This includes not only fundraising for KW Cares, but also planning for how your office will provide support to its community and local KW family throughout the year.

We suggest that Market Centers have a yearly plan for philanthropy in their areas.

At a local level, Market Centers can provide assistance in many ways:

  • Moving assistance
  • During crisis: cleaning / laundry, transportation, errands
  • Babysitting / child care
  • Hospital / home visitations
  • Business assistance
  • New baby care / assistance
  • Blood donation
  • Source of referral / reference information
  • Being a buddy
  • A friendly willing ear
  • Help with Keller Williams Realty Cares grant application process when applicable

Individuals can donate to Keller Williams Realty Cares in a variety of ways, for example:

  • Set aside a percent or flat amount to donate from each closing
  • Buyers and sellers can contribute
  • Market Centers and Regions challenges one another

You may choose to hold fundraisers, whether large or small, with the proceeds going to KW Cares.   Some ideas include:

  • Yard sales, bake sales, holiday craft sales
  • Group eBay auctions
  • Pancake breakfasts or barbeques
  • Selling entertainment books
  • Concession proceeds from vending machines
  • Saving loose change
